Click Add folder to specify which folders you would like to backup Google Photos on PC. Open Preferences in Google Drive for Desktop. Restart your device, computer, or cellphone. Uninstall Google Photos and install the latest update of the app. Disconnect and Reconnect Google Account on Google Photos. Step 4: Now, at the bottom, choose 'Restore' as an option to get back your deleted photos. On an Android device, go to Settings > Apps > Photos > Storage > Clear Data & Clear Cache. Step 3: Now, touch and hold the photos you want to restore. Step 2: Tap the menu present on the top left corner and choose trash as shown. Now the Android device and cloud Google Photos should be synced up, and you should not see the "Getting ready to back up" message. Click the gear button and choose Preferences in the dropdown menu.
